...but you have made it a den of thieves.
In the beginning, God. In the middle, in between, and in the end, too. Not the "god" of the world, not the fashionable god, not the created creator that fits snugly in our minds. Surely not the comfortable god, nor the god that makes deals with us; not even the god that forgives us if we only say we're sorry we didn't get it right. Let's talk about the
One God, the El, Adonai of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. The One that spoke to Moses. The One that visited Abraham.
He is the God of Salvation, the God of More Than Enough, the One so huge and unimaginable that we can't begin to comprehend Him. Why then should we talk about the one so unimaginable, so indescribable? Because He says to talk about Him, think about Him, talk to Him and consider Him every moment. It isn't so demanding when you realize that each of those moments exist only because He chose to create them. You and I are only concious of the moment because He created us with the ability to be aware of those moments. Who is the selfish and demanding one? Not God.
